Private institutes to conduct para-medical courses in MP

Bhopal, Oct 29 (UNI) In view of the recommendations of the para-medical council, the Madhya Pradesh Government has granted permission to 74 recognised private and autonomous institutions for conducting para-medical courses.

Of these, 18 institutions are in the state capital, ten in Indore and nine in Jabalpur, an official statement said.

The last date for admission to the certificate courses in these institutions is October 30. In case, the institutions offered admission after the last date, a fine of Rs 1,000 per day per student will be required to be paid to the Council.

The institutions will have to follow the rules framed by the regional university for admission to the degree and diploma courses.

The minimum educational qualification for admission to para-medical courses has been fixed by the medical council.

Accordingly, besides passing the 10+2 examination with bio-science, the desirous students of general category must have obtained minimum of 40 per cent marks, while the students of reserved category must have secured minimum 30 per cent marks.

The students would be eligible for admission to Ayurvedic or Homeopathic courses on basis of clearing the 10+2 examination with any subject, the statement added.
