Police in state of readiness to enforce law

New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) Stating that it was in full state of readiness to enforce law and order during the three-day Delhi bandh called by traders from tomorrow, the Delhi police today appealed to the general public to maintain peace and harmony during the bandh.

''We appeal to the people of Delhi to maintain peace and harmony during the bandh and help the police in enforcing the rule of the law,''a statement issued by the Delhi police said.

The police urged the people not to pay any attention to rumours and desist from causing any damage to Government property as ''it is your own property''.

They have also appealed to the agitating traders not to obstruct the general public in their daily activities.
