Panambur receives heavy rainfall of 8 cm
Bangalore, Oct 29 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.
Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.
Panambur recorded heavy rainfall of 8 cm.
Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Mangalore AP 4; Karkala, Kudathini 2 each; Mudibidre, Tavaregere, Ponampet, Thondebhavi, Bangalore AP, Chikmagalur 1 each.
Maximum temperatures fell at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka; appreciably fell at most places over North Interior Karnataka and fell at a few places over South Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably above normal at many places over Coastal Karnataka, however below normal at a few places over Interior Karnataka.
Minimum temperatures fell at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over Interior Karnataka. They were normal over the State.
Karwar recorded the highest maximum temperature of 33.8 deg.
Celsius and Chitradurga recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 19.4 deg. Celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.
