Nine trains cancelled and routes of six changed due to Maoist bandh
Dhanbad, Oct 29 (UNI) Keeping in view of tomorrow's statewide-bandh called by the proscribed outfit Maoist Communist Centre(MCC), Dhanbad Railway division of Eastern Central Railway has cancelled nine trains including two Expresses and changed routes of six trains.
Divisional Railway Manager of Dhanbad A K Shukla told UNI here that security has been beefed up on the eve of the bandh called by the banned outfit.
Security forces would keep strict vigil on trains running on Coal India core and CIC sections tomorrow.
He said movement of five trains at the Barwadih station would be checked from 2200hrs tomorrow till the bandh was over.
The list of cancelled trains, include 627 up and 628dn Barkakana Mughalsarai Passenger, 623 up and 624 dn Barwadih Chunar Passenger, 629 up Barwa Dehri Passenger, 737 up Dehri Barwadih Passenger, 3348up and 3349 dn Palamu Express.
The routes of 1448 up Howrah Jabalpur Shaktipunj Express, 8611 Ranchi Varanasi Express and 8110 Tata Jammu Tawi Muri Express (up and dn) has been changed.
The ultras have called a 24-hour-bandh in all the four states Orrisa, Chhatisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar, from tomorrow demanding the release of their leaders jailed in these states.
