Nine held for extorting money in AP

Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, Oct 29 (UNI) Nine pseudo naxals, who were given to extortion activities, were arrested by the town police in this district today.

Producing the arrested before the press here, Superindentent of Police Soumiya Mishra said they were taken into custody for allegedly extorting money from the contractors in the name of Praja Prathighatana Group.

Ms Soumiya said the group extorted Rs 96,000 from M Kashaiah of Parkal and Rs 50,000 from T Madhava Rao of Hanamkonda.
