Nestle India Q3 net rises 11.25 pc

Gurgaon, Oct 29: Nestle India reported a net profit of Rs 82.98 crore during the third quarter ending September 30, registering a rise of 11.25 per cent over the same period last year.

The profits during the last nine months increased 7.32 per cent at Rs 252.64 crore as against Rs 235.41 crore during the same period last fiscal.

Net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 722.66 crore, a jump of 15.7 per cent over the sales of Rs 624.81 crore during Q3FY06.

The company's net domestic sales increased by 13.6 per cent supported by growth across most categories and channels. During the quarter, they were Rs 640.79 crore as compared to Rs 564.08 crore during the same period last year.

Exports were up 34.8 per cent, largely from sales of beverages to the US and from milk and nutrition products within South Asia.

Nestle India exported Rs 81.87 crore worth of products during Q3FY07 as against Rs 60.73 crore in Q3FY06.
