Nearly 4,500 Sikh pilgrims to visit Pak on Gurunanak Jayanti

Bathinda, Oct 29 (UNI) A congregation of nearly 4,500 Sikh pilgrims (Jatha) will leave for Pakistan on November 2 to celebrate the birth anniversery of Guru Nanak Dev (Guru Nanak Jayanti) on November 5.

Giving this information, Vishwa Bhai Mardana Memorial Society president Harpal Singh Bhullar said here today that this is the first time Pakistan has given permission to such a large number of people to visit, otherwise only 3000 persons used get visas earlier.

Mr Bhullar said,''The pilgrims will leave for Pakistan in three special trains and will come back on November 16 after visiting various gurudwaras and other religious places in Pakistan.'' UNI XC DP VD BD1936
