Italian beer launched in India

Mumbai, Oct 29 (UNI) SABMiller India, subsidiary of SABMiller Plc and the country's second largest brewer has launched its premium Italian beer here.

Peroni Nastro Azzurro is set to be the Italian style icon that embodies detailed craftsmanship and passion for life.

With India's economic growth demonstrating a shift towards premium international beers, SABMiller Marketing Director Vinod Giri said introduction of Peroni will excite the palates of consumers and will become a drink of choice among India's trendsetters.

Chris Taylor, international Brand Director for Peroni, said the global alcoholic beverage market is shifting towards more premium products and introduction of Peroni creats a huge opportunity for the brand and will help the beer category as a whole.
