Aizawl, Oct 29 (UNI) Two Income Tax officials from New Delhi conducted a search in the office of state Excise Secretary and sealed all locked cabinets and drawers to dissuade tampering.

Official sources said Narasimha, accused of Radisson case, a land deal for the Raddisson groups' upcoming Star Hotel Project, had been absconding since last week, when raids were conducted at his hotel room after sleuths seized Rs 2.88 crore from Ramesh Kapoor, Director, Radisson group, and his son at Hyderabad airport.

Sources said the IAS officer, currently posted in Mizoram as Excise Secretary, already appeared before IT officials in Hyderabad, where he told the officials that he had no property except a piece of land in Greater Nodia.

After recovery of Rs 2.88 crore, the Income Tax sleuths carried out search in Narasimha's hotel room in Hyderabad and Rs 66 lakh was found.

It was learnt that the IT officials from Delhi met Vanhela Pachuau, the acting Chief Secretary and obtained permission to search Narasimha's office.
