Israeli jurist urges president's suspension -radio
JERUSALEM, Oct 29 (Reuters) Israel's attorney-general recommended today that President Moshe Katsav recuse himself from official duties until an investigation of rape allegations against him runs its course, Israel Radio reported.
It said that Attorney-General Menachem Mazuz issued the advisory in response to a query by Israel's High Court. Police say there is evidence that Katsav, 60, raped and sexually molested several female employees. He has denied wrongdoing.
