Govt bound to look into welfare of ex-servicemen: Pallam Raju
Kakinada, Oct 29, (UNI) Union Minister of State for defence M M Pallamraju today said both Centre and state government are bound to look into the welfare of the ex-servicemen who rendered service to the national security.
Speaking as the Chief Guest in a rally, attended by ex-servicemen from all South Indian states, Mr Raju said the government would provide stipend to more than 5,00,000 ex-servicemens' children in the country from November 14, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's birthday.
He called upon district administration to give more preference to exservicemen in land distribution.
Secunderabad EME Centre Commandant Brigadier Y V Mohan said both Centre and state government are implimenting several servicemen welfare schemes.
The rally was conducted to help the servicemen to find solutions to their problem and bring awareness among themselves about the welfare programmes and schemes.
