Govt against deploying forces, Shurhozelie

Kohima, Oct 29 (UNI) Nagaland Planning and Coordination Minister Shurhozelie has opposed the deployment of Assam Rifles and police to end the inter-factional clashes of the NSCN, saying it would result in more bloodshed.

Inaugurating a Rest House-cum-Fellowship at Naga Bazar here yesterday, Shurhozelie said the government had appealed to both factions to shun violence and said the Nagas will be losers unless they learn to live together.

He also called upon the Nagas to be honest and he said a compromise could not be reached between the two NSCN factions because each group considered that the Nagas were with them.
