Gayatri Sugars achieves Rs 2.23 cr net profit

Hyderabad, Oct 29: Gayatri Sugars Ltd achieved a net profit of Rs 2.23 crore during the first half this fiscal as against Rs 74.7 lakh in the corresponding period last year.

According to a press release here, the company was planning to set up a sugarcane molasses-based distillery in Nizamabad district.

The cost of the project is estimated at Rs 25 crore.

It also entered into an agreement with the farmers for crushing 5.25 lakh tonnes of sugarcane during the ongoing crushing season.
