Food poisoning leaves 19 holidaymakers sick

Digha, West Bengal, Oct 29 (UNI) At least 19 holidaymakers were taken ill, three of them seriously, after they consumed food in a hotel in this resort of Mednapore district, police said today.

All the sick were admitted to Digha State General Hospital last night, Dr Arijit Chakraborty, the CMOH East Midnapore District, said. He said the condition of three was serious.

Police said a 56-member group from Rajarhat in South 24 Parganas was camping here on holiday in the beach of the Bay of Bengal.
