Factionalism in NCP is a cause for major concern: Gujarathi
Thane, Oct 29 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) state unit president Arun Gujarathi today expressed serious concern over the lack of coordination and factionalism among senior leaders of the party in the district.
Addressing a rally of the party here he underlined the dire need for coordination among the senior leaders of the party in view of the forthcoming civic elections.
He lamented that there are different factions of the party in the district, one each lead by Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, another by Deputy Chairman of the State Legislative Council Vasant Davkhare, and the third one by MLC Jitendra Avhad.
It is pertinent to note here that with just a couple of months left for the civic elections, a number of activists of the Shiv Sena and Congress crossed over to the NCP at the function. They were accorded a warm welcome by Mr Gujarathi.
In reply to a question by media-persons, relating to the recent criticism of the NCP by Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, in his usual jovial style Gujarathi diplomatically said that if the younger brother makes a mistake, the elder brother should take care of him.
