Doctors of Niloufer Hospital call off strike

Hyderabad, Oct 29 (UNI) Junior Doctors of the government-run Niloufer Children's hospital today withdrew their strike, following an assurance from the government that they would be provided with adequate protection, a release said..

The doctors went on a flash strike after they were manhandled by the relatives of a boy who died in the hospital, a few days ago, alleging that the death was due to the negligence of the staff.

The doctors also alleged that the hospital lacked proper facilities for the treatment of children.

They have called off their strike today, after the government has assured them that security and proper facilities would be provided.

The government has also assured that vacancies for doctors would be filled up soon, junior doctors said in a release.
