Chhattisgarh Info Commission directive to police
Raipur, Oct 29 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh Information Commission has said that it is imperative for the police to supply details of human rights and corruption-linked cases under the Right to Information.
''Senior police officers should appoint information officers in every police station,'' Chief Information Commissioner A K Vijayvargiya told superintendents of police on October 27.
Stressing on inclusion of the Right to Information in departmental training syllabi for public information officers and appeal officers, he added that websites should be kept uptodate.
''In case an application is sent to the wrong place, it should be redirected within five days and the applicant should be provided the information within 30 days,'' the bureaucrat said.
