Bomb kills NATO soldier in Afghanistan

KABUL, Oct 29 (Reuters) A roadside bomb targeting a NATO convoy in southern Afghanistan has killed one alliance soldier, wounded eight more and injured three civilians.

The attack yesterday was in Uruzgan province, where the Taliban has been strongly active, NATO said in a statement.

In line with policy, NATO would not give the nationality of the dead soldier. Dutch troops make up the bulk of the NATO force in Uruzgan and there are also several hundred Australian troops there.
