Top seeds enter quarters

Puducherry, Oct 28 (UNI) Seeded players easily sailed into the quarterfinals of the 20th Sub-Junior National Badminton Championships under going here.

In the boys under-16 events, top seeded Abhimanyu Singh of Madya Pradesh and second seeded Aditya R Prakash of Karnataka moved into the quarter finals defeating S Aravind of Andhra Pradesh and Hirak Jyothi Neog of Assam, respectively. While Abhimanyu defeated Aravind dropping one set (21-15,15-21,21-10), Aditya outplayed Hirak in two sets 21-18, 21-18.

In the girls under-16 event, top seeded N Sikki Reddy of Andhra Pradesh had an easy sail into the quarterfinal, defeating state mate Samya 21-8,21-16.
