Rainfall occurred at a few places over the State

Bangalore, Oct 28 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Yadgir 4, Bantwal, Kukanoor, Kushtagi, Tavaregere, Shorapur, Shahapur, Somwarpet, Mandya 2 each, Bevoor, Yelburga, Hanumasagar, Badami, Lingasugur, Bagepalli, Gudibande, Madhugiri 1 each.

Maximum temperatures fell at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at most places being markedly so at many places over Coastal Karnataka and remained normal over Interior Karnataka.

Minimum temperatures fell at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at many places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.

Karwar recorded the highest maximum temperature of 36.5 degree Celsius and Bijapur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 18.6 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajnagara, Kolar, Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Tumkur districts, at a few places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Raichur, Koppal, Bijapur, Gulbarga, Bagalkote, Shimoga, Chikmagalur, Kodagu, Hassan districts, at isolated places over remaining districts of the State.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy. Few spells of light to moderate rain. Maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 26 degree celsius and 19 degree celsius respectively.
