Shillong, Oct 28 (UNI) Union Power Secretary R V Shahi has expressed concern over China's reported plan to build a dam on the Brahmaputra river and divert 200 billion cubic metres of water annually to feed its ageing Yellow river.
''We have taken up the matter with the Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Water Resources to deal with the issue'', Mr Shahi told reporters after a review meeting of the North Eastern states on power, here last night.
