Power cut at CM's residence: Bureaucratic reshuffle

Mumbai, Oct 28 (UNI) The issue of disconnecting the power to 'Ramgiri', the official residence of Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh in Nagpur has finally resulted in the transfers of two senior officials- Managing Director Maharashtra Electricity Distribution company Sanjay Bhatia and Energy Secretary Bhagwan Sahay.

After the incident of disconnecting the power came in limelight, the government initiately suspended one engineer but later reinstated him and appointed a one-man inquiry committee under Principle Secretary (Urban Developmenmt) Jairaj Phatak.

Mr Phatak told UNI he has submitted the report to the General Administration Department but refused to divulge the details of the same.

As per the transfer order, Mr Bhatia has been transferred to Yashada, in Pune while Mr Sahay to Nagpur's Improvement trust.

The government has appointed Mr Ajay Bhushan Pande in place of Mr Bhatia and Mr Jayant Kawale in place of Mr Sahay.
