One dengue patient dies in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, Oct 28 (UNI) One patient suffering from dengue fever died today in the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) here.
The patient was a resident of Naina Tikkar of Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh.
An official spokesperson said that as many as 13 new cases of suspected dengue fever have been reported in the hospital in the past 24 hours.
''At the moment, there are 56 patients admitted in the hospital and till date, 443 patients of suspected dengue fever have been treated,'' she said.
''Twenty-five of these patients are positive and five of these patients are in a critical condition,'' she added.
