Nodal officers appointed for newly-created districts in J

Srinagar, Oct 28 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed nodal officers to initiate and complete preliminary work related to the setting up of infrastructure for the newly-created districts in the state, an official spokesman said today.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu B S Jamwal has been posted as nodal officer for Samba district, Special Secretary Agriculture Production Shahid Anayatyllah for Kishtwar, Mr A D Shanaz, awaiting orders of posting in the office of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, for Ramban, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Charanjeet Singh for Reasi while Additional Commissioner Kashmir Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmed for Bandipora.

He said each nodal officer would set up office at the headquarters of the newly-created district in the identified government building. In case the same was not available, the office would be set up in a rented building, the spokesman added.

He said there would be an officer of the rank of Assistant Commissioner from the Revenue Department and the rest of the staff will be provided by the General Administration Department.

The spokesman said the appointment of nodal officers for the remaining three newly-approved districts would be issued later.
