New office timings in Kashmir for winter months

Srinagar, Oct 28 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered change in the office timings in the summer capital from November in view of the onset of winter, an official spokesman said today.

He said the office timings in all government offices would be from 1030 hrs to 1630 hrs from November 1 onwards in the entire Kashmir division except in educational institutions falling within the Srinagar municipal limits.

According to a government order, the new office timings would remain in operation in the summer capital for a period of five months from November 1 to March 31 next year.

All heads of departments, offices and other institutions have been directed to ensure strict compliance of the order.
