Militants attack GREF vehicle, woman killed

Jammu, Oct 28 (UNI) A woman was killed when militants' attempted to blow up a General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF) vehicle with a grenade in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir last evening, police said here today.

Militants hurled a grenade on the GREF vehicle at Chichi Nallah.

However, the projectile missed its target, killing a woman instead.

The deceased has been identified as Sharita Begam of Jamslan village of Mahore Tehsil. She died on the spot, Superintendent of Police J L Sharma told UNI.

A GREF labourer Dhani Ram also sustained splinter injuries in the attack, police said.
