Mercury Transit Sun on November 8,9
Hyderabad, Oct 28 (UNI) There would be a partial eclipse of the sun by Mercury on November eight and nine this year .
According to a release from B G Sidharth, Director of the B M Birla Science Centre here, the clestial event would be visible from the USA. It would not be visible from India because the event would take place during the night, he added.
Dr Sidharth said the planet will come between the sun and the earth, crossing their path in nearly five hours. It would appear as a small dark spot on the sun during this time, he added.
The last Transit of Mercury took place on May 7, 2003 and was visible from India. The next Transit of Mercury would take place on May 16, 2016.
