Srinagar, Oct 28 (UNI) A senior officer of the Jammu and Kashmir police has been appointed as a Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP-Headquarters) Radhavinod Raju has been sent to the CBI on deputation.
State Director General of Police Gopal Sharma and other senior officers bade adieu to Mr Raju at a function here last evening.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sharma appreciated the qualities and professional acumen of Mr Raju and recalled their association spanning nearly three decades. ''Mr Raju is not only an expert in investigating tough cases, but also a great human being,'' he added.
The police officers wished him success in his new assignment.
On his part, Mr Raju thanked his colleagues in the police for extending full support and cooperation in discharge of duties in various capacities during the past three decades in the state.
