Purulia, Oct 28 (UNI) All India Forward Bloc (AIFB), a ministerial partner of West Bengal's Left Front Government and supporter of UPA Government at the Centre, today vehemently criticised both the governments for their landuse policy.

AIFB national general secretary Debobrata Biswas while addresssing party's farmer wing -All India Kishan Shaba's- rally, he said the governments' landuse policy drove thousands of landlabourers into extreme poverty.

"Why the governments go for industrialisation on multi-crop land and not on arid zone or one crop land in Purulia and Bankura", Mr Biswas asked.

Without specifying any multi-crop land he said his party and Kishan sabha would not tolerate grabbing fertile land for industrialisation in the state.

Mr Biswas was addressing the inaugural session of the three-day Kishan Saba at Manbhum stadium here.

He said the country had about 15 crore landlabourers during pre-independece era and the mark gone upto 27 crore in post independence period due to "adverse" landuse policy of the Union government and state government.

He said his party would welcome if industrial units were set up in Purulia and Bankura districts.
