Fire at the High Court building in Nagpur

Nagpur, Oct 28 (UNI) A fire broke out in the auditorium of the High Court building in Nagpur this morning property worth Rs 1 lakh.

Accoding to the Chief Fire Officer of the Nagpur Municpal Corporation (NMC) Mr H N Waigokar, the fire broke out in the auditorium located on the ground floorof the Nagpur bench of the Mumbai High Court building around 0600 hrs today.

Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot, he said and addeding a carpet and a few chairs and some ceiling fans were destroyed in the incident. The fire was soon brought under control.

The exact cause of the fire is not known Mr Waigokar said.

he did not rule out the possibility of an electric short circuit.

The fire department is trying the to establish the reason behind the fire, the Chief Fire Officer added.
