Day temp above normal; night temp below normal

Pune, Oct 28 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Skkim, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch and were above normal in some parts of Uttaranchal and of Himachal Pradesh. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Tamil Nadu and in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were below normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya and in some parts of west Madhya Pradesh and of south Tamil Nadu. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Rajasthan and in some parts of Orissa, Haryana, east Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state and of Telangana and were above normal in some parts of Uttar Pradesh. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and many places in Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at a few places in Telangana, Rayalaseema, coastal and south interior karnataka and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, south Chattisgarh, south Konkan and Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, north interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar. Mainly dry weather will prevail in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, north Chattisgarh, Gujarat state, north Konkan and north Madhya Maharashtra.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and at many places in Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers have also occurred at a few places in Telangana, Rayalaseema,Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, Chattisgarh, north interior Karnataka and south interior Karnataka.
