Chemists Association to join Delhi Trade Bandh

New Delhi, Oct 28: Retailers and Distributors Chemists Association today decided to participate in Delhi Trade Bandh from October 30 to November 1, to protest the sealing drive in the capital.

The association supported the 72-hour Trade Bandh and all medicine dealers would participate in the bandh, a statement issued by RDCA President Sandeep Nangia said.

It, however, added that in public interest emergency services would be operational. Arrangements were being made to keep some retail chemist shops open in all parts of the city so that patients did not suffer on account of non-availability of medicine.

Meanwhile, National Akali Dal had joined Delhi units of BJP and Congress in supporting the bandh.

The BJP had also said it would rake up the issue in Delhi Assembly when its session starts on October 30.

Traders had announced that they would demonstrate outside the Assembly on that day.
