Chandraswami found prima facie guilty

New Delhi, Oct 28 (UNI) A city court today framed charges against Nemichand Jain, alias Chandraswami, in a non-compliance of summonses case.

During the course of an investigation into a FERA violation case, ten summonses on different dates were issued under section 40 of FERA by the Enforcement Directorate, asking Chandraswami to provide evidence and produce documents.

However, according to the prosecution, he ''deliberately, intentionally and wilfully'' did not comply with the summonses, which he was legally bound to.

After hearing the arguments of the prosecution and the defence, Additional Chief Metropolitian Magistrate Kamini Lau adjourned the matter till February 7 for after-charge evidence.
