CFCL registers 20.74% dip in its net profit to Rs 38.56 cr

New Delhi, Oct 28 (UNI) Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd (CFCL) said that its net profit declined at 20.74 per cent to Rs 38.56 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 46.56 crore for the same quarter previous year.

However, the total income of the company (net of excise) rose from Rs 713.81 crore for Q2FY06 to Rs 781.44 crore for the quarter ended Q2FY07.

The main activity of CFCL is manufacture of Nitrogenous fertiliser such as production of urea. It is also involved in trading of many agric-inputs.

The company has been a dividend paying company since first full year of commercial production.

The fertiliser plant is located at Gadepan, Rajasthan.

The Company has also entered into the software, spinning and miniature potato seeds businesses.
