Britannia quarter 2 net halves to Rs 21.2 crore

Mumbai, Oct 28: Britannia Industries Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 21.2 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 43.8 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, a decline of 51.59 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 450.3 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 552.4 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.
