Bhubaneswar-Howrah Dhauli Express derails

Bhubaneswar, Oct 28 (UNI) Passengers of the Bhubaneswar-Howrah Dhauli Express had a miraculous escape when four front wheels of one AC coach derailed near Kenduapada yard, about 20 km from Bhadrak, today.

East Coast Railway (ECoR) sources said no passenger was injured in the accident.

Senior railway officials rushed to the accident site to assess the situation.

The passengers of the derailed compartment were shifted to other coaches and the train left for its destination after the derailed coach was detached from the train.

ECoR sources said there has been no dislocation of tracks and both the up and down lines are functioning.

The cause of the derailment was yet to be ascertained.
