New Delhi, Oct 28: The BJP today expressed disappointment over Booker Prize winner Arundhati Roy's defence of Parliament attack mastermind and death row convict Mohammad Afzal and said the writer was a ''prisoner of her own dogmas''.

Taking exception to Ms Roy's comment that Afzal's hanging would be viewed as a ''trial of a prisoner of war by an occupying nation'', BJP Spokesman Prakash Javadekar said such arguments tacitly gave a fillip to terrorists in the country.

''Such preposterous arguments by the Booker award winner would not go down well with the common man and the people will not take to it kindly...three layers of the judiciary, including the Supreme Court had found him guilty of the offence beyond a doubt,'' he said.

Mr Javadekar said the writer had undermined the spirit of unanimous resolution passed in Parliament proclaiming the whole territory of Jammu and Kashmir an integral part of India.
