Bangalore, Oct 2 (UNI) Firebrand pro-Kannada activist and Vatal Paksha leader Vatal Nagaraj, MLA, was arrested today after he and some of his supporters held a black flag demonstration during the inauguration of the IT mega event ''Bangalore IT.in'' demanding more jobs for Kannada youth in IT and BT Companies.

Even as the inaugural function of the four-day event, attended by the Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Britain High Commissioner Sir Michael Arthur was in progress, Mr Nagaraj, who was seated in the front row rose from his seat and waved black flag shouting more job for Kannadigas.

However, police rushed to the spot and arrested the legislator and physically carried him out of the sprawling venue.

He alleged that the IT and BT companies, which had taken lots of benefits from the state govrnment like free land and tax sops, were discriminating against the youth of the state by offering only a few and that too low paid jobs.
