Vajpayee's advice to Musharraf: India was and is a bigger nation
Lucknow, Oct 27 (UNI) Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today asked Pakistsn to end cross-border terrorism and realise that it could never prevail upon India.
Addressing a public meeting in the Uttar Pradesh capital this evening in favour of BJP's mayoral candidate for Lucknow Dr Dinesh Sharma, the BJP leader said Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf should realise that India was a much bigger country in all respects as compared to Pakistan historically and geographically.
''You cannot negate this fact,'' he added.
Mr Vajpayee's observation assumes importance in the light of a statement by General Musharraf yesterday that Delhi should stop projecting India as a bigger nation or a big brother.
The former PM also welcomed the statement of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh that India would be forced to end dialogue with Islamabad if cross-border terrorism continued.
The Lucknow MP observed that times wre now changing as more and more people from Pakitan were turning to India for better and cheaper medical treatment.
