Triennial conference of bank officers in Jaipur
Jaipur, Oct 27 (UNI) The two-day sixth Triennial conference of Associate Bank Officers' Association (ABOA) will be held here from tomorrow.
The conference will discuss and debate the merger of any associate bank with State Bank of Inda as has been proposed by chairman of SBI.
ABOA's general secretary A C Chandraprakash told newsmen here today that they have been demanding the delinking of associate banks from SBIfrom the point of view of growth of associate banks, which will be taken up in the conference.
Recently the Cabinet cleared the SBI Amendment Bill 2006. The ABOA welcomes the move but opposes removal of ceiling on holding of maximum number of shares by any individual.
