Army vehicle kills 1; Traffic on JK highway hit
Srinagar, Oct 27: Traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway was disrupted for several hours after an army vehicle killed a constable of Indian Reserve Police (IRP) at Awantipora today.
Official sources said an army vehicle, which was a part of a convoy from Srinagar to Jammu hit a IRP constable Zahoor Ahmad at Kharmorah, Awantipora. Zahoor died before he could be shifted to a hospital.
Later, people of the area took to streets and blocked traffic on the highway.
They were demanding arrest of the driver for killing Zahoor.
