Hyderabad, Oct 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajsekhara Reddy today said the Telangana issue was in the hands of AICC President Sonia Gandhi.
Addressing a gathering of TDP workers who had joined the Congress at his camp office, Dr Reddy said Ms Gandhi was also concerned about demands for separate statehood in different states, including Maharashtra and West Bengal.
She would take a decision on Telangana at an appropriate time, he said.
The Chief Minister said the Congress was alive to the demand on Telangana and trying to achieve consensus among the coalition partners of the UPA Government.
