Shivsainiks protest against Pak cricket team's visit
New Delhi, Oct 27 (UNI) The Shiv Sena today demonstrated against Pakistan cricket team's visit to India for the on-going ICC Champions Trophy and demanded the immediate release of 138 party workers who were arrested in Mohali on October 25 for allegedly proceeding to disrupt Pakistan's match with New Zealand.
The Shivsainiks also burned Pakistan's flag at Jantar Mantar here to register their protest.
Altogether 137 party workers along with Shiv Sena's North India and Delhi unit chief Jai Bhagwan Goyal were lodged in a jail in Ludhiana after the incident.
The demonstrators also gave a memorandum in this connection to union Home Minister Shivraj Patil.
