Rupee further gains seven paise, closes at 45.19/20/USD

Mumbai, Oct 27: Indian Rupee today further strengthened by seven paise to close at Rs 45.19/20 per US Dollar compared to the previous 45.26 per US Dollar, a money market trader said.

Earlier Rupee opened at Rs 45.17/19/US Dollar and in the mid morning traded at Rs 45.22/23/US Dollar.

The six month forward premia was fixed at 1.65 per cent and the one year premia was at 1.55 per cent.

Reserve Bank Of India today fixed the reference rate at Rs 45.22 per US Dollar compared to the previous rate of Rs 45.30 per US Dollar.

However, the performance of Rupee against other currencies was below par, against Euro Rupee closed down at Rs 57.31/33 (57.28), against Pound Sterling it closed down at Rs 85.47 (85.27) and against Yen it closed down at Rs 38.17/19 (38.10).
