Road blockade over girl's death

Chhatarpur, MP, Oct 27 (UNI) Protesting over the death of a six-year-old girl who was crushed by a jeep, angry protesters blocked the Bhopal-Chhatarpur road near Agnaur village in this district last night, police said today.

The road blockade, which started at around 1500 hours, was lifted late in the night after the intervention of district incharge minister Ajay Vishnoi.

He announced an ex-gratia of Rs 6,000 to the next of kin besides assuring action in the matter.

Jeep driver Raju Malviya had been arrested, the police said.
