Rajasekharan to be Indian Youth Centres Trust Chairman
Bangalore, Oct 27 (UNI) The Board of Trustees of the Indian Youth Centres Trust has unanimously elected Union Minister of State for Planning M V Rajasekharan as its new Chairman.
An official statement here today said he was elected at a meeting held yesterday, following the post falling vacant after the death of noted Gandian, Parlimentarian and former Union Minister Ravindra Varma on Ocotber nine.
Mr Rajasekharan had a long standing association with the Trust and had been actively invloved in youth and NGO movement from his student days, it said.
The other prominent personalities who had graced the chair were former Prime Minister Morarji Desai, Dr Malcolm S Adiseshiah, Ms Vijayalakshmi Pandit and Mr Ramakrishna Bajaj.
