Rahul Gandhi in Parliamentary panel for HRD

New Delhi,Oct 27 (UNI) Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has been inducted into the Parliamentary Standing Committee for HRD, sources close to Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee said here today.

Mr Gandhi, according to the sources, had requested the Speaker to be shifted from the Standing Committee of Home to that of the HRD. The request had been acceded to by the Speaker.

It was a routine matter for such a decision taken by the Speaker on request by a Parliamentary Standing Committee member, the sources said.
