Notice to Chief Secretary on payment of MLAs' income tax

Chandigarh, Oct 27 (UNI) Punjab and Haryana High Court today issued notice to the Punjab Chief Secretary for November 30 on a PIL vide which directions have been sought against the payment of income tax by the state government on the salaries and perks paid to the chief minister, ministers and MLAs and the expenditure on the proposed 'Rath' for the chief minister's scheduled road show.

The notice was issued by the court's division bench of acting Chief Justice S S Nijjar and Justice S S Saron.
