Nort East monsoon active over Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 27 (UNI) The North East Monsoon, which is battering Tamil Nadu with incessant rains, has been active over neighbouring Kerala also with rain occurring at almost all districts during the last 24 hours.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Lakshadweep also.

Cherthala reported isolated rainfall of seven cm, the MET office said today.

The other chief amount of rainfall in cm are Konni six, Kochi Airport and Thiruvananthapuram five each, Perumbavur four, Kottayam, Harippad and Kozha three each.

Kannur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 34 Degree celcius while Punalur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 21 Degree celcius.

Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur in Kerala and Lakshadweep during the next 48 hours.
