Militant killed in Poonch, HM cadre nabbed in Doda

Jammu, Oct 27 (UNI) Security forces today gunned down a militant in Poonch district and apprehended a Hizbul Mujahideen(HM) cadre in Doda, official sources here said.

Meanwhile, militants entered in the house of a VDC (Village Defence Committe) member Mohammed Taj and decamped with his .303 rifle and 100 rounds at gunpoint, sources said.

A joint team of police and Rashtriya Rifles(RR) killed one militant in an encounter at Kasbulari, in Mendhar tehsil, Poonch, police said.

One jawan was also injured in the encounter, which is still going on till last reports came in.

Based on a tip-off, security forces apprehended HM militant Farid Ahmed from Basti in Bhaderwah tensil of Doda district sources said.
